How do I register?

The preferred registration method is online registration with credit card payment on the Registration Page

How much do tickets cost?
Ticket prices for the 2017 Mid America Army Birthday Ball are as follows:

    - E1/WO1/O1/GS-1 to E9/CW3/O3/GS-11:  $50 per ticket*
    - CW4/O4/GS-12 and above, and all other guests:   $55 per ticket
      *SDDC, USTRANSCOM and DISA military members E6 and below, and civilian GS-6 and below, and their guest, may attend free of charge.

Can I reserve a room at the hotel?
The Marriott Grand Hotel, conveniently located Downtown St. Louis, MO, has rooms available for the evening of the 2017 Army Ball. See the Hotel Info page for details on reserving a room or click
here to go directly to the room reservation page. Discounted rooms are available until May 26th, or when the Army Ball Room Block fills up.

Who is hosting the Mid-America Army Birthday Ball?
The Mid America Army Birthday Ball is hosted by the commanders of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, the Army Element of U.S. Transportation Command and the DISA Global Operations Command.  The Ball is being presented by the Scott Army Booster Club, 
a private, non-profit organization not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a part of the U.S. Government. The Booster Club was established to foster morale and promote the general benefit of Army personnel assigned to Scott Air Force Base, their families and the community. 


What is the appropriate dress?
Military Dress: Army Mess Uniform/Army Service Uniform or service equivalent*
Civilian: Semiformal or formal
* Female service members should wear uniform as above, but may change into civilian dress after the official portion of the Ball is complete.
 

Where should I park?
Parking is available at the Marriott Grand Hotel Parking Garage, as well as many other options nearby. The cost for parking at the Marriott Grand Hotel has been reduced for this event.


Who is the guest speaker?

The 2017 Mid America Army Birthday Ball will present both a Guest Speaker and a Keynote Speaker. Learn more about these speakers on the Guest Speaker Page.  


Will there be entertainment provided?
Music and entertainment throughout the event will be provided by CJ's Disk Jockey Service. 


What time should I arrive?
Reception will start at 5:30pm in the Landmark Ballroom Foyer. The Ball will start at 7:00pm and will take place inside the Landmark Ballroom.


What is included in the dinner menu?
House Salad of Mixed Greens with Tomato and Cucumber with Ranch and Balsamic Vinaigrette

Entrée Choices:
  Choice 1 – (Beef) Top Sirloin of Beef with a Demi Glaze, Swiss Cheese & Shallot Roasted Whipped Potatoes, Green Beans & Roasted Tomato

  Choice 2 - (Chicken) Grilled Dijon Herb Chicken Breast with Brandy Cream, Swiss Cheese & Roasted Shallot Whipped Potatoes, Carrots and Broccolini
  Choice 3 – (Fish) Grouper with Herb Cream Sauce, Rosemary Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Asparagus & Roasted Tomato

Dessert:  Army Birthday Cake cut and served w/ Starbucks coffee and Tazo Tea

All entrees served with Freshly Baked Rolls and Sweet Cream Butter; Regular or Decaffeinated Coffee
 
Will alcohol be served?
Cash bars will be open during the reception and will remain open throughout the dinner and Ball.  All attendees are encouraged to drink responsibly and are reminded to drive responsibly.


How many people will be in attendance?
We expect approximately 250 guests to attend the event.


Will photography be available?
A roaming photographer will capture the fun and excitement of the event.  Photographs will be made available on-line, at no charge, following the event.


Where and when is the 2018 Mid America Army Birthday Ball?

The 2018 Mid America Army Birthday Ball will take place on Saturday, June 9th at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.

The Mid America Army Birthday Ball is presented by the Scott Army Booster Club, a private, non-profit organization not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a part of the U.S. Government. The Booster Club was established to foster morale and promote the general benefit of United States Army personnel assigned to Scott Air Force Base, their families and the community.
